My old dishwasher became more of a dish-rinser, so I needed a replacement. Consumer Reports rates Bosch highly. My friends and family also recommended Bosch. The hardest part was finding one in stock. Once installed, it performs so much better than the previous one. It gets dishes clean, and it's so quiet that without the red light, I wouldn't know it's running. I like the three racks and haven't had any issues loading dishes the way I want. Did I mention clean dishes?

What a disappointment.

This is my second Bosch dishwasher. My other one is 10 years. i never had a problem. I have been disapointment so far with my purchase. I keep getting the watertap error after I run a sucessful load. I have to wait 3 to 4 days to be able to run another successful load. I never know which cycle will run sucessfully. I have spoken to customer service and som will come out. It will take a month for the someone to come look at the dishwasher.

Great for silver and glassware

This is a lovely machine. It works very well. My one complaint is that it doesn't fit my washable bakeware and pans easily. Large cerial bowls do not fit easily. They must go on the middle rack. It can easily take two cycles to do the dishes of a full meal, never mind a dinner party. I suspect most people who cook as much as our home cooks would actually need two dishwashers for true efficency.

This Bosch was one of the most expensive, if not the most expensive machines. I'm just not sure it's worth the added cost. It's suppose to be super quite, but I still hear it. Also, not happy with the control panel on top of the door.

We decided to spend the extra money for this unit as it was billed to dry tupperware. As billed. No more water lingering in the lips of tupperware to run all over the rest of the dishes when putting them away. And as billed, this unit is whisper quiet, and the top silverware rack makes for easy unloading to put silverware away in one fist full. Amazing. Vey happy with this unit.

This Bosch dishwasher does a great job of getting dishes clean. It is pretty quiet as long as you don't have loose items being moved around by the water jets. My only gripe about this otherwise wonderful appliance is the distance between the tines in the botton rack a very narrow. So if you have plates with a lip on them, you have to space them out every other row.

Our 20 year old Bosch died and we needed a black replacement to match the other appliances. Had it installed and love it. The 3rd rack on top is new for us and we use it every cycle. Thank goodness they added a red light that shines on the floor when it's nunning. Standing next to it I cannot hear it when running.

I love my new dishwasher, it's very quiet!!! It leaves the dishes very clean, it's amazing! One thing I wish it did is, I wish it would vent the heat at the end of the cycle. The heat turns into condensation and wets the dishes and if not vented kind of builds an odor. I just set a reminder if I'm home to open the door.

Love everything except for the top control panel which we accidently hit the on button constantly and it sits there with the lights on. My old Bosch had a button you literaaly had to press in for it turn on so why they changed this is beyond me ! Poor design on that front but other than that we love it.

Was hessitant on this brand. I bought one, had it installed, and after a couple of weeks it just stopped working. Called Best Buy and they scheduled a tech to come out. They couldn't get it work either. The power line had power but the machine wouldn't accept it. Thank goodness for the warranty. The next day they brought out a replacement and swapped it out. It has now been 6 weeks and working perfect. Extremely quiet. The red dot on the floor but I prefer the dot on the door like Kitchenaid. I'm still getting used to the dish racks and the dish alignments. Top silverware rack works. I'm still miffed about the drying, but it works good. I'm glad I took the advice of a service tech and got the Bosch. One last thing. The black stainless steel is unbelievable in the way it stays clean.

Overall, I'm very, very happy with my Bosch 800 series dishwasher. The lack of noise is amazing. Even standing right next to it, I hardly know that it's running unless I look at the red light on the floor. Dishes come out exceptionally clean, with our silver and glasses looking better than ever. If I had any complaint at all is that our plasticware doesn't always get completely dry - even using the CrystalDry feature. Not sure why. Overall, I would highly recommend this unit.

Two homes, two Bosch dishwashers

We installed our first Bosch dishwasher in a previous home around 2014 and we loved it! Several years later we moved into a home that came with a different brand dishwasher and we regularly found ourselves missing the Bosch. When we decided to build a new home, there was no question what we were going to buy. My only complaint is that it took over a year (exactly 15 months) for Bosch to fulfill our order.

Trying to write this review is tough because this dishwasher is so radically different from my old one. Therere are features I like and features I am still sorting through. I think it is more my learning curve than anything. It does an amazing job cleaning the dishes. It is literally silent other than when it discharges water and that is pretty noisy (our plumbing is probably the culprit there). I didn't realize how much my 16 year old dishwasher was struggling. I love the third rack for my silverware and flat items, like silicon bowl covers for use in the microwave. Where I struggle is with the lay out of the lower basket and dinner plates or even salad plates when I have my large mixing bowl in for cleaning (I removed the silverware baskets from the lower rack and am using them to organize some cleaning supplies under my sink.) For reference my mixer is a KitchenAid that is one step down from commercial capacity so the bowl is large. More than once I have had to leave dirty plates in the sink because of larger bowls that needed to go into the bottom rack. I don't have enough room in the 2nd rack even when in the lowest position to do the larger bowls or the plates(the bowl I proof my bread in and my mixing bowl take up pretty much the entire lower rack, leaving no room for my dinner plates.) It seems to be more the layout of the seperator tines in the lower rack and not being able to easily fit the bowls down between them. The other issue I have found is it doesn't dry my dishes all the way - even if I let it set until the next day I still have water on some things and I have to hand dry them to put them away. I have found that if I roll up a dish towl and use it to keep the door from shutting to allow air circulation to complete drying (the door is magnetic or spring loaded with a heavy spring that snaps it shut which is why I use a couple of dish towels rolled to prop it open). I have read the manuals, looked through comments from other customers on-line and still haven't found anything that helps me get dry dishes other than what I have done with the towels to keep the door open. It has only been installed for a month ,so I am sure we are still in the honeymoon period and getting to know one another. Other than little annoyances with the drying I can't say anything bad about the quality of the unit or the technology. Overall I am pleased with the purchase.

Not great to be so expensive.

First, the dishwasher was delivered without a kick plate kit, for which I am still waiting one month later. Second, my old dishwasher was more quiet than this one, which is supposed to be one of the most quiet. Last, when I open the dishwasher after a cycle, it is still wet inside. Not great for a $1500 dishwasher.

I am in my 60's++. I have never owned a dishwasher and always felt hand wash was the best way to clean and dry dishes, well that was until I purchased my Bosh 800 series. I had done research on the best dishwasher company's and the best cleaning of dishes. Not only was Bosh the leader in both but also affordable. So I gave it a try. In the first week of owning my Bosh dishwasher, I have used several different cycles and cleaning options . My new dishwasher has been a game changer in the way my day ends in the kitchen! The instructions on how to use and fill was simple enough that you would think I was a pro at this. Now I spend time relaxing with my husband and guests! I truly enjoy entertaining, while my Bosh dishwasher is doing the hard work of cleaning and drying. Amazing!! I am pleased to say, all the cycles clean superbly. The plastic containers did not shrink or melt. The crystal dry feature did as you advertise! Bosh you stand by your word! Thank you for such a great product !!

This is the very best dishwasher I ever owned, even after my first durable Bosch Dishwasher I purchased 20 plus years ago. The third Top-Tray for utensils, adjustable Mid-Tray height and mulitple adjustable-prongs-sections allows customized loads to meet any cleaning need. I choose the Black Stainless which nicely nicely compliments my other black appliances. An amazingly quiet machine you can run while entertaing in the kitchen ... invariably someone will ask, "is it running?" I fully expect it will last for decades as my other machine, which is still running at another home. Thanks Bosch for such sustained excellence!

Great Dishwasher

This dishwasher was a replacement from a GE Profile. What a completely different experience! The capacity is more extensive, the wash times are much shorter, and the drying (even plastics) is much better! This is a much more user-friendly and practical product. Follow the brand recommendation for detergents. They tell you exactly what to use based on your washing needs. I love this dishwasher!

This thing just works. I had another brand that was pretty high-end and quiet but it didn't clean well, dry well and always had a weird smell. The Bosch 800 we just set to auto and it works every time. Extremely clean and dry results. I did change a setting to dry more after a couple of loads and now it dries really well, at the expense of a few extra minutes.

The third rack is perfect for cooking utensils,and there is plenty of room for everything else in the other two racks. It's super quiet! The crystal dry feature works excellent. It has an LED indicator that let's you know its running. Very easy install. Be sure to buy the elbow for the drain. I would absolutely recommend the 800 series!
